We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized social media specialist who has a passion for social media to join our creative team. You will help us create social media campaigns and the day-to-day management of a diverse list of clients, as well as our own social media properties. Your passion for social media as a communications tool will result in the adoption and implementation of social media best practices across all social media channels.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, a versatile video editor, and a team player. You will be an active participant in reining in data and analyzing it in order to consistently improve social media practices over time.

Social Media Specialist Responsibilities:

• Developing content for social media plans that are consistent with each client’s brand identity and voice, helping them to reach their business goals.
• Creating consistent, meaningful content on all social media platforms, including writing and editing social media posts, editing videos, creating graphics in Canva Pro, improving engagement, and promoting social media campaigns.
• Using customer service skills to respond to messages and comments promptly on social media platforms on behalf of our clients. Also performing outreach activities on social media on behalf of our clients.
• Scheduling social media posts with Meta Business Suite, Metricool, or Agorapulse.
• Managing a high volume of daily social media posts for multiple clients in diverse industries.
• Assisting with the development of social influencer programs and campaigns.
• Using analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Google Looker Studio, Pinterest Insights, LinkedIn Insights, and Meta Insights to monitor and evaluate clients’ social media presence and performance.
• Preparing monthly reports on social media marketing efforts.
• Suggesting recommendations to adjust the social media marketing strategy for optimal results.
• Staying up to date on best practices, new platforms, and emerging trends in social media.
• Performing other duties when needed.

Social Media Specialist Requirements:

• A strong passion for social media!
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Experience includes planning, scheduling, and managing social media content for business accounts.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and must have a thorough understanding of social media management and strategy.
• Excellent video editing capabilities with Premiere Pro, Capcut, Canva Pro, and others.
• Some experience creating graphics in Canva Pro.
• Familiarity and comfort using the Google Suite software, including Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Calendar, Google Drive, etc.
• Experience using various analytics software.
• Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that may sometimes require work outside regular office hours.

The Fine Print:

• Pay starts at $15 an hour.
• 40 hours a week. Office hours are 9 am – 5 pm EST, but we are a little flexible if you have different requirements.
• The first 90 days are a trial period. After the trial period, you may be eligible for a pay increase.
